Bishop's Bounty, The
By St. Mary's Parents' Group / Alexandria, LA

St. Mary's Residential Training School is a private, Catholic residential facility for the mentally retarded, founded in 1954 by Bishop Charles P. Greco and administered by the Sisters of Our Lady of Sorrows. The Parents' Group of St. Mary's School has authorized another printing of The Bishop's Bounty, a beautifully bound collection of Louisiana recipes -- from appetizers and soups to desserts and candy, each one tried and tested by members of the Parents' Group of St. Mary's. Among some of the favorite recipes included in this collection are Shrimp and Sausage Jambalaya, Crawfish etouffee, and Blackened Redfish. All proceeds are used for the benefit of the children of St. Mary's School.
